Kaushal Khandar won KL teenager's open (Terbuka remaja KL), 18th November 2006

KL Teenager’s Open successfully being held in Cochrane Sport Centre (under sport unit of KL education department) on 18th November, 2006 with 57 participants. It was organized by MSSMKL. The 1st prize won by Kaushal Khandar with full points (6 points). Congratulation to the winners of each category.

The unique of this tournament is the entry fee is quite cheap, RM12 - under 12 and RM15 - under 18 and participants are given certificates for joining the tournament. Furthermore the lunch (nasi ayam and a bottle of mineral water) was provided (free) for each participants.

Round 4: 1st board, Mohd Syazwan vs Kaushal Khandar (MSSMKL chess player). They played the game until endgame phase. The position should end in a draw but during the time trouble, Mohd Syazwan picks a wrong endgame strategy which lead him to a lost.
